Two related implant designs that will allow the user to measure estrogen and testosterone levels in the body non-invasively via spectroscopy. The planned measurement method is currently surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy. Since levels do not need to be continuously monitored, the implants will be powered via NFC energy harvesting or Qi wireless charging from a phone, with no requirement for an internal battery.
